About

Our mission is to connect, empower and support midwifery educators, transforming midwifery education and sustaining excellent midwifery programs.

The Midwifery Education Association (MEA) was created to expand and advance midwifery education nationwide. MEA will address fragile clinical training systems, inequitable learning environments, and the disconnect amongst educators; all of which have stifled growth of the profession -- a critical contributor to the crisis we're in.

MEA will unite midwifery educators of all credentials into a national network, providing powerful resources and the collaboration needed to scale inspired, quality midwifery education.

Help us lay the foundation

MEA needs your financial support for these in-progress projects:

  • Completing the needs assessment to draw on the wisdom of our midwife educators that will guide our initial programing.
  • Working with an organizational expert to help us build our infrastructure and messaging.
  • Building the infrastructure for development of ongoing continuing education for midwife educators, preceptors and program leaders.
  • Funding experts from all credentials to guide ongoing and future projects.
